BIO

Southern Californian Reggae band MoZaiq, is best known for their charismatic and captivating live shows, featuring spiritual songs of love, personal experience and social consciousness. Formed in 2013 by founding member and frontman Marc Diaz, the band has enjoyed a long list of stellar musicians, yet it was the addition of Noel Morin Jr in 2015, which helped MoZaiq solidify their sound. Known as ‘desert reggae’, MoZaiq combines a “MOZAIQ” of genres, including Rock, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Blues and Jazz.
As Reggae artists, Marc and Noel’s influences include legends like Bob Marley, Steel Pulse and UB40. These influences, along with MoZaiq’s rootsy riddims, soulful vocals and deeply personal lyrics helped to make them a much sought-after act, having opened for the likes of Josh Heinrichs, Katchafire, Steel Pulse, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Rebelution, Fortunate Youth and Mike Love.
In 2018, MoZaiq released their long-awaited self-titled EP, recorded at Imperial Sound Studios and produced by the legendary artist and producer, E.N Young. Released under Young’s Roots Musician Records label, the EP features five tracks and two bonus “Dub” tracks, including the single “Rootsy Roots”, featuring E.N Young and Hawaiian hip hop artist Inna Vision. MoZaiq’s latest single “I Love” (also produced by Young) is set to release in mid-October of 2021 via Roots Musician Records.
